Here at the RIR Skunkworks we are working hard to bring you not only quality writing and insight, but also a new feature, The Running Iron Podcast. The gear has been acquired, the studio slapped together with ten-penny nails, and we have discovered that audio-engineering is not really our thing.
But we have an actual audio engineer on-deck as well, and are very excited to be bringing you, in the very near future, some quality podcast explorations of life in the empire.
Yesterday, we gathered at the Figure 8 Ranch for our first dress rehearsal.
The podcast will, if we do our job correctly, continue the efforts we are making on the website to “lay down some trail worn baggage and deeply-held articles of faith,” in the effort to create lives enriched with meaning.
Also, there will be plenty of laughs, as we bring in accomplished guests to share their experiences and lessons-learned out on the great trails of America.
We sincerely hope you will join us.

Well, this sounds fun and interesting.
Heck, it even *looks* interesting 😉
Good luck with the launch of the endeavor.
Thanks Paul. We are getting close. It will be fun.

Looking forward to listening in and learning something.
Hope all goes well
Thanks Chris, we hope it will be engaging, occasionally funny, and most of all informative.
Thanks Chris.
I’m good with this. I’ve been slammed this semester. Being able to listen will be a godsend. Looking forward to what the two of you (and your guests) have to say.

Let us know how to connect.
We most certainly will. Still sorting out some of the back-end post production kinks, but will keep you posted.

I’ve done some podcasty-type things. Having a good engineer helps alot. Looking forward to this!

My gut feeling and suspicion is that this will be one of the most popular things you do. Perhaps a YouTube station as well is in the offing and you could record a video at the same time. Two for the price of one. The visuals here beg for it. Until then my ears remain perked…

You could well be right. Designed for folks who spend a lot of time on the road…

Looking forward some good travel time listening.
We will be stoked to have you.

Better have plenty of Crown and Club to induce, “intellectual conversation.”
Always, and I mean always, at hand. Like knives and guns.
