The Establishment of the Empire of Nothing is losing their shit. At least that’s the way I choose to interpret the tea leaves this morning. The organism that is the neo-liberal nexus of government, Big Tech/Big Corp, and academia is feeling an environmental threat that it cannot understand, and it is beginning to lash out.

Premier Trudeau pantsed himself and the elite class he represents with his response to the trucker convoy that has occupied the Canadian capital:
The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa, who are holding unacceptable views that they are expressing, do not represent the views of Canadians…who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to ensure our rights, our freedoms, our values as a country.
Unacceptable views.
He of the perfect coiffure and the sensitive eyes has tried everything in the Establishment playbook to marginalize the trucker protest: brand them as Nazis and/or Russian stooges; get Big Tech to defraud donors (GoFundMe has since backtracked a bit on that plot) — everything but give them an ear as if they were, y’know, constituents or something. The blowback has been significant and has helped the convoy grow from a stunt into a full-fledged movement.
I am generally not a fan of disruptive protest, whether it’s truckers blocking bridges or BLM protesters on a Portland freeway, and when protests turn into riots, I’m out. I believe in the rule of law. But the rule of law in the West is based on fundamental principles that are increasingly being eroded:
Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it…
It’s important to recognize that the disparate protest movements of the past year-and-a-half — here, in Canada, in Europe and in Australia — all come out of genuine frustration, to the point of despair, at a sense of voicelessness, the recognition that that legitimate grievances will never be redressed by an Establishment that manifestly plays by a different set of rules than those that they seek to impose upon the rest of us. An Establishment that has become destructive of the ends of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
The would-be Ruling Class is profoundly clueless about all of this, beyond cynically attempting to draft off of populist movements and manipulate them for political gain. As Matt Taibbi writes:
There’s a Narcissistic Personality Disorder element to this, where some pols seem unable to imagine that any sane person would feel anything but admiration and respect toward them. This in turn means their detractors can’t be merely wrong, but must be abnormal or literally defective people somehow, seduced by foreign spies or driven by criminal or politically illegitimate impulses.
If the course continues, and the Establishment chooses to treat challenges to their increasingly threadbare narrative as treason, and challenges to their authority as incipient terrorism, they will merely radicalize more people, many a solid citizen among them. If you make a man an outlaw, an outlaw he will be. And when the participants in the protest movements of 2021–22 realize that they have common interests in undermining an elite that despises us — all of us — there will be a reckoning of potentially revolutionary proportions.
Because we are many, and they are few. And they can’t hang us all.

It seems like most people at the top of our society scorn the common people. The great irony is that most of our problems seem to be started at the top while most of the regular people I know can do their job. This is true whether of politicians or CEOs and includes members of both parties.

Big time- on target… they can’t believe that the public here at home and up in Canada- are starting to get wise to them, they are laying down a type of “blue terror” against the Constitutional. They turned the FBI, CIA, H,S. etc into a new breed of Chekist political police that only serve the New Democrat Bolsheviks uber lords. It was underlined in red pencil and exposed during the alphabet’s massive operation to subvert Trump. They will double down on it. Unfortunately and with respect for your position — I don’t think you get it. The problem America faces is not the Democrats. As Matthew eloquently states — the problems come from the top down. The country is run by an exclusive club and none of us are a part of it.
The two party system gives Americans no choice. Currently, it is accept A or B and both are fighting to keep their mouths in the feeding trough, and neither A nor B has improved the country since Ike left the office. That is why we keep ratcheting in one direction, no matter who is elected. There is an illusion of change that never is meaningful, and all of it is merely window dressing.
Congress sets its own rules, exempting themselves from some laws they make that we have to follow. There is legalised bribery, euphemistically called lobbying and campaign contributions.
The whole system is corrupt and I see no end in sight. To take a line from Jim’s opinion piece, they can’t hang us all. Actually, they don’t have to. Just enough of us to keep the others in line.
After nearly 8 decades of experience, my reservoir of optimism has run dry.
I fear I’m there with you Joseph. It’s hard to dredge up any sense of optimism at all — except for the very long-haul sense that the big wheel does keep turning.

Maybe- However, seems to me the facts of the matter are pretty evident.
Was it the Republicans who weaponized the DOJ and labeled parents who are concerned about their children being taught in school that as they are white they are racist- as terrorists?
Was it the Republicans who surrendered to the Taliban and other Islamic terrorist groups in Afghanistan left the country in the middle of the night snuck out with their tails tucked under their legs and gifted them with millions of dollars of advanced weaponry? Weapons now in the hands of Russia and China?
Was it the Republicans who opened the Mexican border to two million illegal aliens including Islamic terrorists- shipped them into near all areas of America, provided them with money and transportation. Did the Jumbo’s charter secret flights to fly illegal alien criminals into the country secretly in the dead of night and then refuse to discuss it?
Did the Republicans abandon American citizens and American allies in a terrorist infested country? Refuse to aid Americans in escaping said country and then refuse to talk about it. and provide information to the public?
Did the Republicans destroy American energy independence that we gained for the first time in decades under Trump- shut down the Keystone Pipeline and gift Putin the Nord Stream II pipeline?. Driving American energy prices up 40 %? Did the Jumbos then beg OPEC and Russia to produce more oil.?
Did the Republicans defund the police, demonize the police, demoralize the police, and drive up crime in major cities up to and including deadly attacks on our law enforcement officers?
Was it the Republicans who drove the inflation rate in the nation to the highest level in 40 years in just over a year? By massive never before seen government spending including such projects as ” safe smoking” kits for crack addicts? And the aforementioned energy mismanagement?
About 60 percent of Americans now think Biden and company have done a miserable job ‑according to a CNN pole.. Seems to me most people “get it” pretty well.

You are welcome Friend, its sad I take no pleasure in it, our country is is serious danger now worse than 1962, worse than Vietnam times worse ever I have seen in my lifetime. The only good thing is that the actions of the new Democrats have been so bad that there is no way they can cloak their responsibility for the disasters they have provoked. Even long term Democrats are seeing to see what’s up.

The flying monkeys of big cyber have done a amazing job of spiking information critical of the radical left, it takes some effort but it can be found. The Russian hoax caused great damage and may cause more.
